The Challenge
Conventional paints on the furnace exterior were blistering within weeks, making inspection difficult and corroding the casing underneath. The window during the reline shutdown was only nine days.
Our Solution
Alliance Solutions specified a silicone-based heat resistant coating system rated for continuous 400°C+ service, delivered with surface-prep instructions and enough material staged on-site to complete the job in one window. Our technical lead was available by phone throughout.
Results
- Zero blistering after 14 months of continuous operation
- Inspection rounds simplified by a uniform, intact finish
- Coating applied entirely within the 9-day shutdown window
